BDP 5200 constant request to format SD
I recently decided to use a 8Gb SD in the blue ray player in order to watch videoland / Nettv
but NetTV constantly tells me to that there is no room on teh card or that the card is not formated even
immediately after a reformat.
Any ideas?

Did you try with a different card?

It won't work even with a different card. the BDP always creates an unused partition, the size depends on the capacity of the used card, leaving less then 1GB of free memory on the card which is for some functions not enough.

Doesn't matter, the BDP uses it's own format, AFAIK it's XFS

Hi both,
Could you please advise the below:
1. format the card first on a PC and then insert it to the BDP while in NetTV to trigger the format. Then try VOD again.
2. advise what SD card was used, as per user manual we support:
An SD memory card of type SDHC Class 6, with at least 4GB memory.
With thanks & regards,

Dear both,
I would like to explain more on the SD card ussage matters.
The SD card is used by both Video on Demand feature and BD-Live. When the SD card is formatted by the BDP, it will only format 1GB for BD-Live and the other 3GB is for VOD. (for a 4GB card). 1GB is always used for BD-live, so if using higher capacity cards 8GB, you will get 1GB BD-live and 7GB for VOD. So when checks via a PC, the SD card will only show 1GB. The other 3GB is also formatted but in ext3 file system, not readable by PC. It is possible that the trailers are huge in size and succeeding trailers cannot be downloaded due to insufficient memory.
Hope this explains a bit.
For the constantly asking to reformat SD card matter, I'd like to understand if that still exists when you tried on a Class 6+ and 4Gb+ SD card. Please advise. (Meanwhile, we are doing some testing on this. )
With thanks & regards,

Hi,
I would suggest to increase the BD live partition depending on the SD card size:
- 4GB SD: 1 GB BD live
- 8GB SD: 2 GB BD live
