    siutable DVD for 32PFL7962D/05

    Hi;
    I have a philips DVD 640 which is connected by SCART to ext2 of the TV as detailed above. The picture is frankly rubbish, very blocky and flat. I have tried poking around in the tv and dvd menus for settings to adjust but nothing makes any difference. Can anyone tell me what connection, if any would give a good picture with these pieces of equipment or do I need to update my DVD to an HD compliant one?
    Regards Nigel

    Try doing an upgrade first. If the picture display will still look the same, then you have to contact a specialist to check it for you.

    tried that

    We have just had the tv back from the menders. Tv picture is a lot better,but the dvd picture is still really blocky and rough. I have again tried two players, both scart sockets, reversed the cable. nothing makes any difference. Does a hd tv need a special DVD player?

    Hi Nigel

    Have you tried a different Scart cable?

    Best Regards
