Remote Control of another model

I have a tv 46pfl9607k (model of 2011) and i mislike the remote control. I want to buy a remote control of a year 2012 model. Does anyone knows it will work together?

Hi,

I thinks so - however, only the one-sided remote controls should work. Just go to a shop, take the remote of a 5507 and try on a 9706.

Sometimes, it is always a good idea to buy a universal remote control which works on almost all TV available today.

I have a similar question re. the remote of my 42PFL7606H/12 TV (2011 model), as you constantly need to go through menu's to select pretty basic functions such as 'watch TV'.

The remote of eg. the new 42PFL6007H/12 has again specific buttons for eg. 'TV', 'format', '3D', 'guide' etc.

Obviously, the question is then if these buttons also work in the same way, directly selecting the indicated functionality, for 2011 TV's such as the 7606. Preferably to be confirmed by Philips or otherwise perhaps by someone who's been able to try this him/herself?
