47pfl8008 keeps rebooting every few minutes

Tonight, the tv just started rebooting every few minutes. I have not seen this problem before and I updated to the Latest firmware a few weeks ago.
It's still in warranty, is it goosed (broken)??
    Cheers

Once I got home to see it for myself..
It's failing to boot up correctly, gets to the channel picture appearing with the channel graphics at the top, then gets no further and reboots. Endless cycle of about 60 seconds.
    Any ideas anyone from Philips??
    Cheers

    Hi Skinnez,

Are you able to enter any settings in the TV?

If not; try to pull the power for a few minutes. If yes; I suggest you do a full re-installation of your TV to see if this has any effect.

    Best regards,
    Christian

I tried pulling the power first. That didn't help.
I basically messed around pressing buttons, changing channel etc because that was all I could do before it re-booted again. It finally said it had updated the channel list and stopped rebooting, I think that's what it was failing on. Last night I paused live TV and after around 20 mins it rebooted again.
With this, and pressing the volume on the remote and it change channel, typing the channel numbers in and it inserting extra numbers I didn't press, or just pressing buttons and it switching off, spending hours getting the picture and sound how I like and it suddenly forget all the settings, DLNA functions only working once from watching TV (to get them to work a second time reboot or enter "browse network") I think I might try reinstalling the TV. What have I got to lose, certainly not any settings?!
    Cheers

Yeah I will recommend reinstalling the TV, if this does not help the best option would be contacting local customer service for further help.

So I re-installed shortly after your post... didn't make much difference as I thought. My reason for posting this time is that the screen now randomly goes blank. The red led is still off, and it is unresponsive with the remote. Nothing works and no sound or picture until I pull the power. This is now happening nearly every day after its been on for a while.
For you information, I phoned customer support just over 30 days after purchasing this TV. I complained that the TV had problems, and in particular suffered from random flashing ambilights. Customer support tried to say that this was "Normal" and that the lights "do flash from time to time"... What a joke...
It was a lengthy waste of time call basically, where the only aim was getting me annoyed enough that I would hang up. I didn't. I said I wanted a refund and that the TV was not fit for purpose. They told me I had to go back to the supplier. They ran a 30 day returns policy, so I was stuck with it.
I paid £1700 for this in August 2013. You might think I would be happy with a 5 year warranty. I am not. What good is a warranty when it will be replaced with another unit that just is not fit for purpose.
The flashing ambilight issue was later identified as a software problem. Along with countless other issues I have had with this.
These problems I am having are probably software and/or hardware related, and I have seen countless posts like this on this forum. How on earth do you expect me to buy another Philips product. I should have known when I bought this...nowhere stocks Philips TV's in the UK. I wonder why?

    Cheers
