Why do you think they do not release the latest firmware for the 21:9 model?
It is the first time I ever experience such a different approach.

Hi,

the 21:9 TVs are using a different firmware (Q5553) than the other 2010 TVs (Q5551). This Q5553 firmware is only used in M models (italian market) and the 21:9 Platinum. Looking at the changelog, it only fixes an issue for users in the Ukraine.

But I also think, that 21:9 were sold in the Ukraine. That's the reason I'm asking, if the 140.48 is also released for 21:9.

.....and you make a firmware upgrade after so long with "only" just these? we showed the quality bugs and thats all? You dont care about the quality nor about "new" things (like EPG) so i repeat, whats the meaning of the these so called upgrade?

I think the people in the Ukraine that want to use NetTV and couldn't with version .47 would disagree with you...
BTW: I don't think it was that long ago that they released .47? (also looking at the versionnumber...)

such "Updates" you can hold by yourself. Its a shame for you and a mocking for all the Customers. Buhhhhh

dont get me wrong. Its ok that they fixed that. Only was wondering why after months, they fixed only that. We proof that there are serious issues about quality. Not something light at at all...

For exemple, the issue with HDMI-CEC in PlayStation 3, that cause malfunction with remote control...Anyone can check if was fixed?

I wont upgrade to this firmware version, if it causes problems with ep-guide in my 8605.

I hope Philips can solve those issues soon.

I also totally understand: It also took quite some time on the audio via HDMI drops.
It's still happening occationally, but very rare...

Think they are mainly working on the 2012 models. Hope there's still some time to do some 'tweaking' on the 'older' models...

No Philips don't !
I reported this problem with firmware .46 six months ago.
I lose all my hope, that this software will ever fixed.

Found a new (?) function: Channel sort allows to use a list of unscrambled broadcasts.

Unfortunely i'm losing my hope too, about any good news from Philips, to fix those issues on 2010 models.

Anyway we can only wait for a "miracle".

Is there anyone who has already installed this new FW? How is the picture, is better than the FW 140.46?

For me, the picture is not so bad exept for two things :

1 - Sharpness is too high on all HDMI inputs (must be set to 3 to be equal with the TV tuner with the sharpness set to 5) ==> this problem is present on all softwares not only this one.

2- Extrem in-motion smearing especially when picture is dark.
