Hi
My TV was sold with firmware 140.37 and I can't install firmware before 140.37 because it was the factory firmware.

Hi,
I tried lot of time
1- with the cold restart method,
2- with the folder upgrades method
3- with many firmware on usb : only firmwares after 140.37 "were seen" by the TV
I remember on the service manual, at the service menu pages, you have something like "first software 140.xx, actual software 140.xx". so it seems there is a limitation.

See message # 43 over here : http://www.supportforum.philips.com/...1054#post41054
Didn't solve the reboot problem caused by, related to or accompanied by the "channel update" message.

Hi,
1- Sticker effect in dark scenes
2- no détails at all in dark scenes
3- Not the same level of resolution/mpeg artefact reduction/super resolution on TV compare with HDMI (with the same channel of course)
Regards

Same for me. My next TV will definitaly not be a Philips. Never seen a customer unfriendly brand.
