BDP3200/12 Subtitles out-of-sync
For some reason external subtitles (subrip/srt.extension) seem to gradually go out of sync as (90+ minute) movie progresses.
At first it's barely noticeable, but around halfway through and during the second half it get super annoying. I've never seen this happen before. I have, so far, confirmed it on the last 4-5 movies I've tried. On the PC the subs are 100% in sync.
Has anybody else experienced this?

I've now been able to confirm this issue 100%.
External subs gradually runs out of sync by at least as much as 1-2 seconds!
It starts getting noticeable (annoying) around the 40 minute mark with .5-1.0 sec then gradually gets worse towards the end of a movie.
This is not right. And I've never seen anything similar on any other standalone player.
Also, I did not notice anything before upgrading to the newest FW. Unsure if it could be related...?
What do you mean what program? Subtitle editor?
The subs are in sync on any PC player.

Though they are in sync on your PC it would be still good to use a differnt programm to burn them...

Guys, please stop referring to programs (what programs?) and burning and whatnot.
The problem is that external subs gradually runs out of sync by as much as 1-2 seconds! I.e. a totally unacceptable margin.
It is a problem with the player. Other players play movie+subs in perfect sync.
I would really appreciate some input from a Philips rep/mod. Thanks.

You burned them on a disc I assume? Also that your PC reads them is since they will be able to handle much more different codecs and subtitles. My question is if you used programm X to burn can you try with another to see what happens.
I have many movies that due to various reasons cause issues but they work always on my Pc´s.
Would be good to give the media infos or give some samples so things can be tested

I use either disc or USB.
Subpack subs (sub/idx) works 100%. The problem is with external plain text files - in .srt (subrip) format.
It's not that complicated really since timing of both audio and subtexts are fixed and easily verifiable.
I have had 3 other models of Philips DivX players (+ 3 of other brands) and never experienced timing/oos issues.
Above all I'm curious if other BDP3200 users have the same problem....

This is just a quick update/FYI for all interested in this annoying issue affecting BDP3200 subtitle playback:
The support team has tested and been able to reproduce the issue. They are currently looking into and will hopefully come up with a solution.
