Is there any way I can control my MCI500H other than the supplied remote?
Hi all
I am new to this forum and have been brought here by the total frustration caused by the fact that the remote control supplied with the unit is dreadful when it comes to searching for an individual track for example or even an artist or album. The alpha numberic keypad is clumsy and you need to be a few inches away from the minute screen to be able to see what you are typing and/or looking for. I was overjoyed to find there was an android app available to use on my Samsung Galaxy but I have since discovered that this is not supported on the MCi500H nor is it going to be. I have around 1000 albums ripped to the hard drive and the unit is otherwise great so I do not want to upgrade it at this point in time.
Is there any way at all I can control it via my home network (which the MCi is linked to) for example via a tablet with some kind of app on it? WADM is also hopeless and does not offer any kind of search facility (that I can find anyway).
PLEASE can somebody help? I am happy to purchase other peripherals if required to be able to do this.
Yours hopefully
Liz
