    Playing DTS and MKV files on 47PFL7606T

    i note from a previous post that DTS codecs would be available for the model of television through a firmware update around week 46 , still waiting on this update , does anybody have a clue when this will happen as my set still wont play dts mkv files

    DTS will not be supported... and will not be integrated.

    there will be an update in week 46 for the 7000 series (2010 & 2011) that support subtitles and the DTS codec in mkv files.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Hi,

    SRT subtitle support was added for 2011 devices last year by a firmware update.

    But DTS will never come...

    hi,

    why wont they add support for dts as most hd file formats now carry dts for example x264 1080p mkv file, dont see the point in the tv supporting mkv files if u cant have descent sound, looks like i will need to buy a media player to run through my amp now lol
