Net TV down (from 3-Oct-2010 14:54 till 4-Oct-2010 10:05)
Due to problems with the Net TV server today (October 3) TV’s cannot access to the Net TV portal.
We try to have this fixed as soon as possible! Sorry.Last edited by Philips; 11-09-2010 at 10:31 AM.

I (almost) never experience problems with the server being down, only yesterday (3/10) I experienced problems.
They were addressed really in a good way by Philips, as they informed us here on the forum.
Maybe your internet connection is causing these problems? There are some good hints & tips in this forum to tackle possible problems.

This is what happened:
Technically speaking the server was not "down", that's why the watchdog was still showing a green flag (so, the watchdog was not in error....). There was however a serious issue preventing the Net TV's to connect to the server.
We know this caused a lot of inconvenience to you all, but we've learned from it and we will try to prevent it from happening again.Forum Mod

Is it possible to show a more descriptive message on the tv when Net TV is down? This morning I got a message" you are not authenticated. Switch off and on the tv set" or something similair to that.
I should not be that hard to show an error if some some reason the Net TV services are not operational. Luckily I was able to find this site which confirmed the error was not related to my tv set, my wifi connection or router but to the Net TV services running in the datacenter of Philips.

Yup, this message is shown since the 'Q5551_0.140.25.0' update also.
In my case this message is shown every second time that Net tv is started!
Strangely the DHCP server address is reset as well.
When you perform a cold restart or switch the internet connection to an alternative source (from wireless to wired f.e.) the
DHCP address is not correct anymore! The last number is not correct.
Then in the morning, I can start Net TV WITHOUT anyproblem...... for 1 time maximum???????
bottom line is:
I can use NET TV one time per day since this update!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It looks like the power-down circuit of the motherboard needs some fixes.
