Got new glasses
Well I was about to give up as the PTA02 kit was terrible and the 3D was unwatchable on my 40" 8605 PFL.
Then I took the plunge and bought 2 pairs of the Xpand X104 glasses.
Out of the box they were a vast improvement over the philips glasses.
I tuned both pairs using the method described in the 3d section over on avforums which then improved them further.
The 3D is now watchable and pretty good (not perfect) but crosstalk is cut to a minimum. I can now watch a full film without having to pause and take breaks

Hi, thank you very much for really good news!
Now I don't have any 3D accessories for my 52pfl86005 and I am going to buy a 3D kit (glasses +transmitter) to watch 3D.
Would you tell me please, are you using the RF transmitter from your PTA02 kit along with X104 glasses or Xpand X104 goes as a kit with its own transmitter?
Thanks!

Thanks! That's awesome!
Actually, I spent a half year in the internet forums trying to trace how's going on with the Philips 8005 series 3D problem issue. I thought nothing could be done but accept the fact that 8605 is just a pretty good 2D TV
Now it looks like the problem is resolved. Now can't wait to try the X104 with my Philips
