BDP3000 shuts down

Hello, sorry for my bad english...
I have a problem with my 3000. Whenever I view pics or movie on USB-stick or play a disc, the player shuts down after a few minutes.
The LED Screen is blinking, sometimes particulary shutting off or dimms and the player stop working - shut off.
I have to plug out the powercable a few seconds in order to start the BDP3000
If I try to start without unplugging the red lamps blinks and nothing happen.
The latest FW is installed! - I tried to install over the newest FW and in the middle the player shut off.
For my luck the player starts again and I try it again and finish the update.... but that doesnt help
The player is connected via hdmi to an hd-ready tv-set.
can anyone help me or tell me whats wrong?

Thanks Toengel for your help, but it doesnt work
I try it several times - factory defaults - update...
I will try out the update via LAN or WLAN directly in order not to use USB...

If I connect via internet and try to update it says no newer firmware...
An SVCD plays nearly 1 hour without stopping. BD after 10-15 minutes. DVD are not tested yet.
Possible its an thermal problem

I've contacted the seller and send him my bdp3000. he will try to fix the problem. if it is not to fix, he will send my money back. I hope he can fix the problem...
