New to 3d
Hi I just set up my new tv n connected sky I prob sound stupid but do I av to put tv in 3d mode or somert to watch sky 3d or just put the channel on n put me glasses on I ask this cos I don't av any glasses yet n tried cinema glasses n they don't work do I av to go on a 3d setting or somert

Do you know the model number of your TV ?
Have you checked the Philips website for 3D requirements for this particular TV set ?

Yea it 42pfl7606t/12 it's a Philips 7000 series passive 3d tv I can't find a option to put tv into 3d mode does this mean I don't av to or is this because the tv not recognising my sky n ps3

Doesn't the manual state what button to use for selecting 2D/3D mode ?

Page 18/19 of the manual gives instructions on how to enable the 3D function.
