how to save a movie from PC on memory card in TV

    Hello,
    40PFL7606
How can I store a movie from my PC on the installed memory card in the TV. I see the TV in my network but I cannot acces it. I do not like to take out the memory card while it unreachable for me. Of course the TV is connected via wired LAN, I use windows vista.

This is not possible. The TV ( Assuming you meant 40PFL7605) does not share the SD card on the network. The SD card inserted in the TV is only used as a cache for rented videos in the video-store. But altenatively you can put a movie on a USB device. You will have to plug in and out. For USB there exist extension cords, which may solve your reach ability problem.
Alternatively, you can install for instance TVersity (free, google it) on your PC. This will allow your PC to share music, photo's and video's in your network. When this application is running you should see the shared content on your TV via Home->BrowsePC.

    Thanks Perry,
I use already VLC with more or less the same functionality as Tversity.
The issue is that you need to have your pc connected for the time. I hope Philips will make these cards and usb sticks reachable from extern and alsoo more develop the functionality to give a presentation from my laptop on the screen.

Then you should use WiFi Mediaconnect (via dongle PTA01). Discussed several times here on the forum.

    Dear Anton,
I absolutely agree with you. we have SD card slot and SD card in it. Why not to get access from a PC to up-download files.

I am very happy with the free memory card given by Philips, I am using it in my digital camera.
has anybody already tried to connect a USB hard disk to connect to the USB port? It is possible than to be connected to all your pictures, music and movies
