Sound problem connecting PS3

Hi, I have a 37PFL8404H with a curious problem. When I connect a PS3 through HDMI, there is no sound.

I can connect other equipments like HDD-Media Players, Sat Receiver, Xbox, Home Cinema, but the only way to detect sound from PS3 is turn off the TV enough time to cool the TV.

I tried some different cables, HDMI ports and of course, the PS3 system in others TV with no problems.

Only one or two firmware updates for a 1000$ tv in its lifetime, and without a visible improvement of function.

This issue combined with a problem detecting dlna server, and the slow interface, make me think that it was not a good purchase.

Welcome to the forums.

Could you please confirm to me what software version you have in your TV? If not the latest (26.78), please update with USB and post back result after this.

I can see that the latest software update fixed the issue with no sound from external devices connected with HDMI.

Does it make any difference if you use a speaker instead of having the sounds from the TV?
