File System Error
So, I bought this device and about a month later it would not work anymore, it keeps showing the "File system error" message and won't turn on.
My computer don't recognise it, so I can't format it.
Reseting didn't change anything
And the repairing by songbird did not work either (tried many times)
I really don't know what to do anymore!!!
Should I just throw it away, or is that a light at the end of the tunnel??!?

make sure it s fully charged before retrying everything...
afterall, you bought it just 1 month ago meaning this is still under warranty, maybe you should go for an exchnage

Sorry, I didn't say it right. I bought it several months ago, but it lasted for just a month. I bought in another country, so I have no access to the warranty. And now I was really needing to use it, so I am trying to fix it.

do you have the proof of purchase with you?
in the packaging, there s a World Wide Guarantee sheet, if you have the proof of purchase with you, it shud still be covered by your warranty. there're some country differences though. so if you have your proof of purchase, you can call your local support for more info.

Ok, so what you need to do is plug your player into the computer. Then, in the go to my computer in your start area.
In your computer folder, you should have a removable disk "D:", this is your player.
Right click on the tab and go to Format, click on quick format and then start.
The next window that should pop up will say that it will may erase all the files on the device. That is ok. It will erase all the music you had on there, but that is easy enough to load back on.
Wait for it to finish, unplugg it, turn it on, and you should be good. All you have to do now is reload the music!
I had to figure this out for myself just a few minutes ago because I was having this same problem. Good Luck!
