    2 problems with my SA3MUS16S/02

    Hello!

    I have the following problems with my SA3MUS16S/02;

    1) flac files are not recognised;

    2) the "Tools" window in Songbird doesn't look like the one shown in the explanations: I can only see the command "Format Internal Storage".

    Who can help?

    Thanks

    Edoardo

    for issue 1) you can analyze your media and compared that to this FAQ:
    http://www.p4c.philips.com/cgi-bin/d...9357&faqview=1

    to see if your media are with codec not supported.

    for issue 2) it should be fine as this is model specific, may not be the same like that in the web since some web content are shared with other models

    Hi kwinie, thank you for your reply.

    About 1): flac files are supported, are there various types of flac files?

    About 2): In the page named "Tools" there should be i.e. the command to update the firmware of my GoGear Muse : since that command is not there, where can I update it?

    Thanks

    Edoardo

    about 1, yes FLAC is supported. you have to look into the specification of the codec supported in FLAC. refer to the point 3 in the 2nd column in the FAQ on FLAC codec. you may analyze your media first with mediainfo and then compare with the codec shown in FAQ.

    about 2, inside the tools menu from the top, there isnt upgrade option. to upgrade your player. connect your player to pc with songbird opened. click on the name of your player in the left frame. in the main frame. there are a few tabs. click on the tools one and then you shud be seeing the upgrade firmware option.

    if this is not seen, pls provide more info like the exact model number, version of songbird etc.

    My GoGear Muse is a SA3MUS16S/02.
    I am using Songbird version 2.0.0, Build 2311 (20120608002735) on a Acer Laptop with Windows 7.
