Shadows red and green on 46pfl8007

I'm not happy with image quality in scenes where the light falls unevenly or if there are shadows on the faces of the shadow of strong colored green/red so that all details disappear in the shadows are completely burned out with a strong color in the shadow area . Are there others who have observed this? and is there a solution.

    Hi Tamasp,

If you're experiencing the issue only while watching a video from external sources, like a dvd player, I would recommend to check the connections, or try to play the video from a different souce.

Even if you probably already did it, please try to change the picture settings.
You can find the manual for your 46pfl8007 here The picture settings are on page 32.

However in order to have a better understanding and provide a solution, would be great if you can send us a picture.

    Regards,
    Marco

    Hi Peter,

Thanks for the pictures, unfortunately due to the quality of the pictures was not possible to identify the issue.

If the software is not updated you can find here the file and the instructions.

The latest release contains the following solutions:

    QF1EU-0.132.5.3 (Date published: 2012-07-26)
    • Improved [Channel list copy] functionality.
    • TV reboots by itself during first-time installation.
    • Improved TV stability.

    QF1EU-0.132.5.1 (Date published: 2012-07-19)
    • Coloured lines or splash screen during start-up.
    • Spontaneous switch off.
    • Channel search problems (missing channels).
    • No start-up of the TV.
    • Slow menu navigation.
    • Slow zapper ring across multiple channels.
    • Frozen/blocked pictures.
    • TV keeps detecting same HDMI device.

If after the software update the issue persists, please send me a private message with your details, including your telephone number and you will be contacted by your local customer service.

    Hi Marco,

Ecare was today coming to look at my tv bacause of the red shadows en bright screen in some scenes.
Unfortunaly he saw the bad red picture and bright screens, called technician from philips and their answer : nothing to do, all 8007 series have it and cannot solved with software.
They advised me to bring back the tv and buy samsung, lg or panasonic.
Strange , ill think about it.
