Philips 19PFL5522D/05 Blue screen

Greetings from London, England.

I have been given a Philips TV by a friend as it was not working. Googling the problem found several other owners with the same issue. I have copied one of the messages below to see if anyone can help. If the TV is unrepairable or not economical for repair, please let me know.

This TV was working fine earlier, now it's stuck in Digital TV mode (with a blue screen, no channels).

The Analogue/Digital, AV, and TV Menu buttons on the remote all show a small X on the screen when pressed, the Digital Menu, Option and Programme +- buttons don't do anything at all and and the Programme +- and Menu buttons on the top don't do anything either.

Why has it done this and is there some kind of reset or something i can do?

Welcome to our forums.

Could you please try the following:

While TV is on
1. Remove the aerial from the back of the set
2. Unplug the power ( without turning tv off)
3. Wait 2 min, then plug Tv in without aerial.

Now try to access the menus, if you can, please contact your local customer service and they will help you with indepth troubleshooting.

If you cannot access menus, please contact a local engineer for further assistance.
