    Support 3D content on 46pfl9705

On the 46PFL9705 is viewing of 3D content supported by two ways.

    (1) Support 3D-signal on HDMI (viewing 3D-content by blue ray player; default)
    (2) Support 3D-signal on HD decoders (viewing 3D-content by CAM CI+ on Ziggo 3D demo channel; recently enabled in firmware 140.023).

Will Philips also support 3D-signal in future software firware versions in the next cases:

    (1) 3D-signal by USB-port on the TV (Viewing 3d movies from external USB harddisk)
    (2) 3D-signal on SD-card (Viewing downloaded 3d movies by video-on-demand through NET TV service videoland).

    Hi all,

I''ve got the same question and noted that there has not been any reaction since October, 2010.
It would be very helpful to know whether USB input for 3D movies will be supported by Philips.
Else I''m obliged to buy a BluRay reader/writer to make a disc for my BD player connected to the TV.

Any answer on possibility, chance, other type of solutions would be helpful!

    Regards,

    Franz Maurer

    Hi,

I don't think such updates will be done on 2k10 sets. I've seen on some forum threads that support for 3D via USB and Nettv video stores will be in 2k11 sets.

As usual such improvements would require much more than a sw update.

    Regards,
