HMP5000 does not recognize ISO's
Hi,
In the description of the device it clearly says it plays ISO files. I've never succeeded to play a ISO file with the device.
I've tried to play DVD5 ISO and DVD9 ISO but the player does not display the ISO files..
I'd like some advice please.
Thank you.Last edited by vishu; 08-12-2012 at 09:55 PM.

Hi Vishu.
I'm sorry you're experiencing this with your media player.
Could you please make sure the sowftware version is up to date ( 1247), if not you can download from support page and update with USB drive.
Could you please make sure that the ISO file is within the requirements for the file. You can find them here .
From what source are you playing these files from?
- If USB please see the following requirements:
File format
FAT16 or FAT32 or NTFS
Memory capacity
160 GB
Power Supply to the HDD
If a HDD with USB power peak current higher than 500mA is used, a separate power supply for it may be needed. Please consult the user manual of the HDD for detailed information.
Tip: For optimal connection, do not use a hub.
Best regards

The firmware is up to date.
I am using a NAS to communicate with the device. It's functioning trough a hub. I don't think that the powersupply is a problem because the hmp streams raw bluray (no ISO) files without any problems. But folders containing an ISO doesn't even appear in the folder structure. That's not right..
* When i run the iso on my laptop wireless, it runs like a charm so i'm guessing the connectivity isn't a problem either. I've tried wired & wireless. On both types of connection no ISO's are seen in the structure. Also MKV's and such heavy streaming files are streamed without any problems wired & wireless on the HMP..Last edited by vishu; 08-13-2012 at 06:17 PM.

Oh yeah; When extracting the ISO it DOES run the extracted files but not the dvd menu interface & functionality.
I also have the filters in the menu set on all media so that isn't the problem either..Last edited by vishu; 08-13-2012 at 06:22 PM.
