Flicker Issues with 47PFL4606H

Hello,
I purchased a 47PFL4606H 12 Last Christmas, it has been working well up until now, (not too heavily used, maybe avg of 1 hr a day). Two nights ago the brightness started varying very quickly ( appearing as flashing basically) while playing a game on PS3. At first I thought it was a HDMI issue, but switching to the internal tuner, I found it suffers from the same issue with the brightness stepping up and down. The problem then disappeared for 15 min and then came back. It seems to go for 20-45 min at a time and then return for 10 minutes. I wonder is this a software issue or a hardware issue? I have updated to the latest firmware (rev 2.21) but the issue seems to persist.

First of all welcome to the forums.

I would advise you to reinstall the TV, then do a cold restart. ( Turn TV off, unplugg for 2 minutes, then plug back in). If this doesn't solve it, please contact your local customer service. Also please post a result after doing the reinstallation and cold reboot of the TV.

Thanks for the reply, I have tried a reinstall and cold restart, it seems the problem is still present. The only thing that seems to effect it is changing the dynamic contrast, turning it off reduces the problem quite alot, while if its on full the flickering is unwatchable.
