    Question NetTV Offline? (July/October 2010)

    I've tried a couple of time to use Nettv today.
    in the midday, radiotime could not connect to the server and now the tv can't connect to NetTV.

    would like to see an announcement in this forum, when philips is updating the NetTV service or when it's Offline because of an error.

    I found a website that reveals the statuses of all Philips websites. Net TV is mentioned as well! So, if Net TV is not working check here. If this site shows a green flag for Net TV then the problem must be at your internet connection.

    excellent spot! Why do I have to find this out here? This should be somewhere in the helpscreen on my TV

    Philips-server niet gevonden. Probeer het opnieuw

    Can't connect to the philips server. I haven't change my wifi settings and my tv is getting the DHCP leases.
    other devices in my network can connect to the internet. To be sure, i've restartet my router but didn't give a solution.

    At the service page, NetTV Service Portal give a normal (green) status.

    Apparantly this server status page is not very reliable. Philips should take action to improve this.

    This is what happened:
    Technically speaking the server was not "down", that's why the watchdog was still showing a green flag (so, the watchdog was not in error, and is reliable....). There was however a serious issue preventing the Net TV's to connect to the server.
    We know this caused a lot of inconvenience to you all, but we've learned from it and we will try to prevent it from happening again.

    And here again: Philips server not found, yet a green flag at the checksum-site.

    My network seems to run fine: my mediaplayer using the same network switch is fully up and running, including its web services.
