Firmware Upgrade problem

Hi,

My player is BDP5200/98.
The Internet connection is working but I have problems upgrading my firmware using the Network or via USB.

Current verion: V1.16
When I chose Network to upgrade the firmware, I encountered an error message at the end of the download saying something like "cannot be verified"

When I transferred the V1.35 firmware to an USB drive and connect to the BD player, the upgrade message on my player says something like "no compatible firmware".

Please advise what can be done to resolve this upgrade issue.

From the specs of the player, it should be able to support MP4 but I cannot even play a MP4 movie. That was the motivation for the upgrade.

Hi,

- redownload the upgrade for your stroke version /98
- extract the ZIP file
- format an USB stick with FAT
- create folder UPG_ALL in root of your USB stick
- copy the extracted *.bin file from the downloaded archive to the UPG_ALL folder
- remove any disc from player
- insert USB stick
- start manual USB update
