On the support page for your TV you will find Media manager + server (Twonky). This is a push and pull multimedia tool that you use over DLNA to your TV.
You get the license key for Twonky by register your TV on Club Philips. Without registering, you can use Twonky for one (1) Month. NOTE: Reinstalling does NOT reset the 1 month counter.

You can also use Windows Media Player 12 as an alternative Media Server.

    Best regards

Do you mean the entire wifi/dlna functionality which is included on the European 2012 TV models isn't supported, or do you just mean that the "wifi media connect" software program for the PC isn't supported on these TV models?

I just bought the PTA01 adaptor, and after reading this thread I'am very disapointed with my purchase, because my TV is 42PFL4307H and according to these news I'am not able to view my desktop/internet explorer windows!
Is there any other software available, that could allow the TV to show desktop and internet explorer windows?

    Hi everyone!
Just bought an 42PFL4307H/12 TV, didn't buy the Philips USB wifi dongle as i had one from another manufacturer already at home (used it on my old laptop to connect on the net with it).
When i tryed to connect the TV with my old USB dongle it didnt work, the tv would just stay there & do nothing, apart the message that it doesnt support that device.
After that i did some searching to see witch USB-wifi dongle is supported by TV & i found this thread.
Do i even if i buy the Philips PTA01 dongle would not be able to connect the TV to my home WIFI or i can still connect to the internet with it.
I can connect with the cable but that would involve some major drilling around the house walls & this would be the very last option.

In short do i need to drill trough half the house to connect my tv on the internet for the Smart TV feature, or the Philips PTA01 dongle will work for that too???

From what I have seen on youtube this software allowed to replicate PC's desktop on Tv screen, am I right? If the answer is YES, why for God's sake Philips did resign of this technology? With this on board my PFL6007K would be the smartest TV on Earth.

I have the same model and same PTA01 adapter. I also wasted money. I can connect my computer with a wired USB to hdmi out adapter (about 40 GBP). But unfortunately, no connectivity with wireless PTA01 from Philips!!!!!! So sad.

I have 32PFL7605 (2010 model) with PTA01 dongle and have used WIFI media connect, but I have to disappoint you: the wifi speed is just to slow to use the TV as a replacement PC/laptop screen.
Wifi connection with PTA01 is however fine for playing pictures or movies on a NAS.
