Picture calibration in PFL5xx7
Hi,
If anyone has a picture setting to recommend, I would be interested in knowing.
My current settings give a pretty accurate picture, but I have a feeling it lacks "magic": Hollywood super productions look like I was sitting in the very same room as the actors. It looks kind of amateurish, if you understand what I mean.
My settings:
Brightness (SD) 50
Sharpness (SD) 7
Color Temp / tint (SD) RGB 127 / hue 0
Contrast (SD) 95
Color Sat (SD) 58
Backlight (SD) 70
In "advanced adjustments":
SD - 1 MPEG NR: min
SD - 2 dyn. Contrast: off
SD - 3 dyn. Backlight: off
SD - 4 NR: medium
SD - 5 HD Natural Motion: medium
SD - 6 Clear LCD: on
SD - 7 Super Resolution: on
SD - 8 Color Enh: medium
SD - 9 Gamma: 0
SD - 10 Light Sensor: off
SD - 11 Screen edges: 5

Hello
I have the same feeling about Hollywood super productions that look like I was sitting in the very same room as the actors.
Have you found anything useful about this?

Hi,
I did find out what caused this: it's the "HD natural motion" which should be turned off.
After trying different image settings, I found this to be the best:
Normal adjustments:
Backlight contrast 75
Brightness: 51
Color: 54
Sharpness: 6
Noise reduction: min.
Color Temp / tint: custom (red:111, green:110, blue:90, red-bl:7, green-bl 6, blue-bl 0)
In "Pixel Plus HD":
HD Natural Motion: off
Clear LCD: on
Super Resolution: on
Dynamic Contrast: min
Dynamic Backlight: off
MPEG artefact red: min
Color Enh: off
Gamma: -1
Video contrast: 80
Hope it works for you!
