AS111: USB Audio support

Hi,

AS111 doesn't support USB Audio because Android doesn't support too.
I read the AS111 is already hardware compatible on http://www.gadgetreview.com/2012/02/...ck-review.html :

Android does not currently support audio out through USB, but all Philips Android docks do, so when Android does support it, the AS111 will be ready (after a firmware update to the hardware).

Since Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, USB Audio is available : http://developer.android.com/about/v...elly-bean.html

When do you plan a new firmware for AS111 which support USB Audio ?

Hi Juherr, i'd like to up your post because you are asking something important.

I wish the fedelio app would bring a firmware update for the AS111 now that jelly bean allows USB audio.

I'm not a fan of having BlueTooth on 24/7 because it drains my SIII's battery

I'm also tired of switching off bluetooth on the dock every time I connect my smartphone.

I imagine Philips doesn't give any sdk (so anyone can improve our AS111) .

I bought AS141/12 cause i saw that Philips will update firmware after Android supports audio through usb. Now Android supports it with Jelly Bean updates. You are telling us that your hardware doesn't support it?

where this information from - i mean the information that philips will upgrade the current players.
am asking because for docking speakers, they seldom have upgrades... some of the sets are not even upgradable.

Hi, don´think so as it is clearly said that it will not be implemented due to hardware limitations.
