DLNA & Video thumbnails on BDP5200
Hi everyone,
I have a BDP5200 Blu-Ray player running the latest firmware (V1.55) & connected to my home network via Ethernet. I can access and play without problems my digital media stored on my home server via UPnP/DLNA. The server is a Linux host and my UPnP mediaserver is Mediatomb (v 0.12.0).
That's it for the setup and the working part: now my question!!
When I browse my movie library, in the right column of the interface I see the title, duration and resolution of the file currently selected. There is also a placeholder for an image: is it "enabled"? how can I use it to display, say, the movie poster?
So basically there are two sub-questions:
- For anyone having the same player: do you have any image in that place-holder? Which DLNA/UPnP media-server are you using?
- For Philips Support: does this feature exist? is is coded in the firmware? what is required/is the player expecting to display something in that area?
Any hint will be greatly appreciated (in particular detailed technical information).
Thanks!!

Hi MrGeek,
First of all welcome on the forum and apologies for the late reply.
The feature (video preview) that you are asking about is not available on this device.
Thanks and kind regards,
