HDMI disappeared from Source list

Hi,
For some reason, every six months a different source disappears from the source list on the 'AV-source list' menu. Originally, the list had TV, Digital TV, Hdmi1 and Hdmi2, and Ext 1, 2 and 3. Now there is only Ext,Tv, and digital tv.
I have unplugged everything from the TV and left only the HDMI connected as I am trying to connect apple TV, but HDMI still doesn't appear as an option on the source list.
Could you please help me?
My TV is a model 42pfp5532d /12

I would advise you to factory reset the TV.

Have you also tried using a different HDMI cable?
