I recently purchased the AS111/37 docking station and I own an LG Ally with Android 2.2. My phone's bluetooth links up with the device all right, but when I have it attached to the dock, the phone does not charge. The advertising and description by the salesman with whom I spoke intimated that the phone would in fact charge when it was plugged into the docking station, but so far I haven't been able to get it to do so.

I've tried with the plug plugged into the wall and into a surge protector. I've tried pushing all the buttons on the device but to no avail. The instructions don't suggest that there is any special step to take in order to charge it, but perhaps I've missed something.

I'd like to be able to use the dock as a charge and I use my phone as an alarm clock so it's rather crucial that I be able to get the phone to charge while plugged into the docking station. Can anyone offer advice?
