24PFL3507H/12 issue playing bigger mp4 files over DLNA
Hi there,
I tried to play several mp4 files using DLNA from my NAS. The smaller ones play fine (<100MB?), the "bigger" (500-800 MB) ones do not. The TV gives the error that the both video and audio codec are not supported. Which isn't true... When i play the same file using an usb-stick there is no problem. Other DLNA devices (like PS/3 and tablet) play the movie without problems from same NAS (Synology with latest firmware). Attached mediainfo export file with the mp4 settings.
The filesize (and network performance) itself don't seem to be the problem also because the TV can play an 24GB HD movie (M2TS) from the same DLNA server flawlesly.
I updated the firmware to the latest available online (T921E 2.12 / 2012/07/20).
What is wrong? It's real a dealbreaker.

Hi Benedickte,
Any news? I tried to play the mp4's on my other (older) philips tv (using DLNA) and they played fine. Sounds like software on the 24PFL3507H/12 ...

If you need a second opinion, i have the same DS213+ and a 42PFL4307T.
My Philips SmartTV plays all filesizes from the Synology, I think the biggest one was around 16gigs.
It plays alle the video-formats i throw at it - mkv, avi, vobs, 3d-movies - everything.
Currently on firmware 0.79.4

More less the same problem on my 19pfl3507. (buglist)
With Plex Media Server DLNA (0.9.6) the TV firmware 2.12 has lost the ability to fast-forward or rewind a video-file. Some file don't work that do work with Twonky Media server and visa-verse.

Hallo Benedickte, it has been quiet for weeks. Is there any progress? It still doesn't work.

Same bug here.
I also have the same problem. And it's also dissapointing that my 24PFL3507H/12 doesn't keep aspect ratio on movie media on zoom. I have to recode movies to the exact 16:9 aspect ratio of the tv or the movie image is deformed.
Plz help.
I use Microsoft MediaPlayer12, Windows7 x64.
Media info of a file working on usb but not dlna on this tv. (Working thru dlna on my Samsung GS2, AllShare.)
