Does anybody knows how to create a playlist?
Songbird creates and transfer a m3u file but my player doesn't play it. Can anybody post a valid playlist?
I can create it on windows xp, without songbird, but I need to know which is the format
Many thanks in advance

Hi,
The supported formats are MP3, WAV, WMA
For creating playlists there are various FAQ´s here http://www.philips.co.uk/c/mp3-and-m...?t=support#rdy

I am able to create a playlist in songbird and use it on the PC. The problem is when I transfer the playlist on the mp3player: it doesn't recognize it and don't play it

Because M3U is not supported, try one of the corresponding file formats, MP3,WMA or WAV

Or you can use a converting programm ( look around on google and there are many) or:
A simple method that requires no special software:
•Open the M3U file with Media Player (or add all your M3U files to a single playlist)
•Select the "File" menu that normally appears on the screen
•Select "Save As"
•Choose the destination folder that you created previously
•Click "Save"
If the manipulation was done correctly, a standard MP3 file will be created now. You only have to repeat the operation as many times as necessary for the full list M3U.

No, sorry but I can't understand. A playlist is a text file with links to mp3 files.
A m3u file is like this:
../Music/09 Van Halen-A Different Kind Of Truth/01 - Tattoo.mp3
../Music/09 Van Halen-A Different Kind Of Truth/02 - She's The Woman.mp3
../Music/09 Van Halen-A Different Kind Of Truth/03 - You And Your Blues.mp3
../Music/09 Van Halen-A Different Kind Of Truth/04 - China Town.mp3
../Music/09 Van Halen-A Different Kind Of Truth/05 - Blood And Fire.mp3
../Music/09 Van Halen-A Different Kind Of Truth/06 - Bullethead.mp3
../Music/09 Van Halen-A Different Kind Of Truth/07 - As Is.mp3
../Music/09 Van Halen-A Different Kind Of Truth/08 - Honeybabysweetiedoll.mp3
../Music/09 Van Halen-A Different Kind Of Truth/09 - The Trouble With Never.mp3
../Music/09 Van Halen-A Different Kind Of Truth/10 - Outta Space.mp3
../Music/09 Van Halen-A Different Kind Of Truth/11 - Stay Frosty.mp3
../Music/09 Van Halen-A Different Kind Of Truth/12 - Big River.mp3
../Music/09 Van Halen-A Different Kind Of Truth/13 - Beats Workin'.mp3
I already have these files no the mp3player. I only would like to play some or other song, just like a compilation. This is a playlist

OK, I have a folder on my PC called PHILIPS_MP3Player whic is sincronized with my mp3 player device
- I use the + to create a playlist
- I rename it
- I select and drag music files in the playlist created
- I select and drag this playlist in to the PHILIPS Mp3player (it is a m3u file)
- I disconnect the device
- On the device, I select "Folder View"
- I see there is a folder called "Playlist", which contain the file playlist.m3u
- I select it, but it doesn't play on the mp3 player, I got the message "File Format not supported".
This is what I do

Hi,
Seems you are right. Was able to test this and see it also... Now I have a doubt knowing that the 3 series did not support Playlist and thought these ones were doing so.
Let me check over the weekend and I come back to you ok.
