Three hours from the installation of new software, and three times you need to disconnect the equipment from the power supply!! Embarrassing, I will never buy Philips. Has anyone tested the new software/firmware?!?!?!?

The first case: an attempt to enter the smart TV. The result: it does not work any button on the remote control and bluray!!
The second case: play avi file. The result: from a certain moment it does not work any button on the remote control and bluray!!
etc etc
In all forums write about it. In this forum, too. The software (bdp7700 – all version) is unstable, slow and poorly tested.

Dear tymek,
We need more info on the issue you described. Would you please comprehend the below template?
[HW Version]
e.g., BDP7700/12 serial number xxxxxxxx
[SW Version]
e.g., v3.46 (if possible get a screenshot of your BDP at home menu and press 8 5 2 0 on RC).
[Issue #1]
e.g.
BDP hang-up at xxxxxxxxx
Precondition: BDP connected to HDMI TV, USB 16GB connected to front, Wi-fi connection via Fritzbox set to WPS. Etc.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Power on BDP
2. Go to Browse PC
3. Click to xxxxx
4. Play
5. Then click xxxxx
We need details as much as possible so as to work on a fix. Appreciate if you can give us more input on this.
Kind regards,

[HW Version]
BDP7700/12 serial number: KX1A1214392442
[SW Version]
v3.46 (reset to factory settings)
connection:
Blu ray -> HDMI -> TV 40PFL5605H/12 (sw version Q5521_0.140.46.0)
Blu ray -> toslink -> AV Receivers (Yamaha RX-V450)
Front USB – pendrive 4GB (FAT32) or nothing
Rear USB - SAMSUNG S2 Portable 500GB STSHX-MU050DA (NTFS) or nothing
Wi-Fi – WPA2-PSK AES, 11bgn mixed
No ethernet
No SD card
BDP7700 freezes at different times. Cannot extract a single schema. Sometimes it is when watching a movie (avi, mkf, wmv etc.), sometimes in a net-tv, and sometimes just turn on blu-ray. The buttons on the remote control and on the blu-ray totally stop responding.Last edited by tymek; 10-01-2012 at 05:20 PM.

4. blu-ray freezes at the string "standby"
5. not respond to the remote control (10 minutes)
6. need to turn off the power.
etc. etc.
