can not play original bluray disk om bdp7500
since a short time my player bdp7500s2 does not play most original bluray movies,he recognizes the disc not is seeing on display.
software version is 1.53
I can not upgrade to the newer 1.63 not via network or usb.No valid software is found its says
The player works well with dvds en mkvs only not bluray disks
What can i do about it?

Disc not supported it says
I emaild Philips and got an usb stick from them with newest sowftware 1.63 but that don't work either.No valid software found its says.

Can you look at the file via your PC and check if it is BDP7500_S_B.BIN

Hi,
- got to the support website of your player
- download the update to your desktop
- extract the ZIP file to your desktop
- format an USB stick with FAT
- create the folder "UPG_ALL" on this USB stick
- copy the "BDP7500_S_B.BIN" into that folder
Finally: USB-Stick:\UPG_ALL\BDP7500_S_B.BIN
- plug in
- start update

oh i thougt u ment connect the bluray player to my pc,lol.
I got software from philips en downloaded myself and the version is BDP7500_S_B.

Hi,
load factory defaults after the update and setup your player again.
What exactly happens, when you start a non-working BD? What is displayed in the display of the BDP?

Oke i did load factory defaults en en setuped the player again.
Does not work,UNKNOWN is displayed in the display.I can hear the player,the laser? when it tries to read the discs it starts and stops everytime and then it says unknown disc.
Some bluray disc's i can play and others it says unkwnow

if it is unknown disc then your device has to be checked by service

Yes i think so to,it has still 2 weeks of warranty.I have the player almost 2 years now.
The display appears after 10 to 15 minutes,so thats not good to.
