Gamma Setting - 2.2?

Hi guys,

Just wondering whether it was possible to set my TV (37PFL7605H/12) to a gamma setting of 2.2?

The setting in the menu runs between -5 and 5. Do any of these correspond to 2.2? The cinema preset put it on 3 by default.

The -5 to 5 setting on the television is not the actual gamma value itself, but just a generic settings scale.

So, in this case, the value 2.2 isn’t possible to set exactly, so you will just need to use the slider to set the best according to your preference, I'm afraid

In summary, the gamma setting works in the same way as the colour, brightness & contrast settings.

Thanks for your reply. No, that wasn't the answer I was looking for!

Seems a shame - I wanted to calibrate my TV using test patterns. Never mind eh, I'm fairly pleased with the picture I've been able to achieve anyway.
