    HELP ! :-(

    Hello all,

Is someone from Philips reading this thread?
No news since May 15th, and the list of bugs is almost huge according to me.
I would say that some bugs are serious enough to be taken into account !

Out of respect for Philips customers and fans, would you mind giving us some help and support please...

    Regards

Does a crash and reboot of the TV not a serious and major bug enough for having an official response from Philips ?

I cannot believe Philips couldn't care less about this...

    Hi LR92F and all,

All bugs are indeed serious enough to be taken into account, I agree. The question is merely how this is done. Please allow me to clarify.

With the amount of new software threads being started in the forum at present, the amount of response each thread is getting from moderators will be limited, as I am sure you can all appreciate.

I know a lot of you have spent a great amount of time testing and reporting issues with your individual TVs. This is ALWAYS appreciated by us, although we don't always make an appearance in all threads.

I would like to make a request from all of you active in this thread. Due to the amount of time this thread has been going, the best way to ensure that your current software feedback reaches the developers, would be to take advantage of both the technical and experience threads. These threads are posted both to announce the new software versions, but also to collect and collate information on the software for the developers in the most effective way.

The threads (each in their own way) help us gather information and compare information. The technical thread format in particular gives us a very clear overview of distinct bugs, whereas the experience thread gives us nuance and detail.

Your hard work is appreciated regardless of where you post it. Your feedback has great importance to us, especially regarding the software, but also in all other matters. Many of your have asked for your feedback to receive more attention and this would be the best way to achieve this.

I would very much like to remind all of you that this is mainly a user to user forum. Many of you are very active and a great support for both new and established users, which is absolutely great!

    Best regards,
    Ina

Just to remind that this is Philips official support forum.
Not only in the title but also the way philips website directs users to this forum when they search for support. As well as philips support techniocal people on the phone. "user to user" is only hidden in forum rules post.

I've been here for months and I can personnaly understand that the lack of communication upset some people. Some of the bugs are/were just making the TV set not work, and there is/was sometimes not a word if it was taken into acount for future release. Writing in main technical thread makes no difference.
So my view is that Philips has also room for improvement. It's sad that you haven't said a word about it. Internet was meant for interaction not for Marketing purposes only (good looking forum but no valuable information).

    My 2 cents.
I still think my "Smart" Tv is not worth what I paid for it, and does not corresponds to Philips marketing information sheet, as well as not state of the art.

eeh... altho' I'm not a complete novice, I found this thread through a lot of research & has been helpful. But...why can't you answer here? I have now to search & find 'technical and experience threads' & then find the specific tv.
One question: Why don't you email peeps when there is a software update? I am sure that this isn't beyond the realms of possibility.
I only find out there's a software update via someone posting on a thread that I am subscribed to. My tv always says there is no software update available when there is!

    Please note:

    Hi all,

Please use the following software threads for the new software version 150.88:

Experience thread (details, questions and discussions):
    http://www.supportforum.philips.com/...x7-Series-2012

Technical Feedback thread (for specific software feedback):
    http://www.supportforum.philips.com/...00-Series-2012

This thread will be closed now. The thread has been ongoing for quite some time, and as explained previously, the new software threads are the best place to report your experiences:

    http://www.supportforum.philips.com/...ll=1#post60597

If anyone would like for this thread to be re-opened, please send me a PM with your reason and I will re-open it.

Thank you all again for your continued feedback.

    Best regards,
    Ina
