No subtitles while streaming from my computer

Hello everybody

i am not able to see subtitles while streaming from my computer. (all kinds of files avi/mp4/mkv/vob etc)
Using the same file on an USB memory stick the subtitle(s) can be selected. (except vob files)
Does somebody has an answer for this problem?

It seems that majority of TVs (Philips included) do not support streaming separate subtitles over DLNA. Only known solution to me is to use some media server ( I use ps3 media server, it is not ps3 console ..) which allows subtitles merging with movie on the fly.

USB is not the same as DLNA thus it does not behave the same.
