Senseo Hot Choco :-(
The issue concerns Senseo Hot Choco.
I purchased the Choco pod dispenser & 3x 120g bags of Hot Choco specifically for my children.
We have attempted to make an acceptable cup of Hot Chocolate to no avail.
The resulting drink is extremely weak and vitally undrinkable and cannot be described as Douwe Egbert states; ‘ a delicious smooth hot chocolate’.
My question is ‘Do I have a problem with my machine or is it a quality issue with the product Douwe Egbert’s retail as a hot chocolate drink?
The bag in question was correctly sealed, it has a best before date of 15 11 20 and I opened and used it immediately so it cannot be a storage issue from my side.
I would welcome Forum comments and any suggestions regarding an alternative producer of chocolate pods for the machine.
For the records, the coffee (Douwe Egbert’s) produced from the machine is very good.

I must say I have not tried the DE hot choc pads yet. I have tried the ones from Chocomel in the past, which I thought were ok, but a bit too sweet. Not sure if those are still sold though.
But you know what I'll hop by the DE store sometime this week and get some hot choco pads to try. It needs a special dispenser right?

You need a Philips Senseo machine. My advice is don't buy one for hot chocolate. They are good for coffee but nothing else. I would love to know if the fault lies with Douwe Egberts chocolate product or Philips machine but no one in the Helpdesk can help me! :-)

Lol, I know I need a Senseo machine. I have one in for visistors since I hardly ever drink coffee myself (plus it's a pink limited edtion one with pretty flowers on it, so it looks nice on my kitchen counter
). I just meant for the hot choco you need a special pad holder, right?
