    Smart TV APP freezes TV

    Hello Philips,

I seem to have a continuous problem with my Smart TV App in the Netherlands... HardwareInfoTV. Sometimes the App freezes and with that the whole TV.

I have the latest update and also reinstalled the whole TV. This solves the issue for a short time, but the problem keeps comming back. Also after several new updates...

Pleas do something about this because the only way to solve the problem is unplugging the power.

    Model: 42pfk6109/12
    Software: 010.003.010.128

    Thx

I suppose this is related to the problem I described:
    http://www.supportforum.philips.com/...e-TV-42PFK6309

It is my firm believe there is some kind of memory leak in the Philips browser that's being used in all these apps. This is causing the TV to hang when playing certain kinds (formats) of video's.

This problem is related to my topic http://www.supportforum.philips.com/...e-TV-42PFK6309

With the latest 020 software f October 16th I'm having mixed results.
One programme (from NPO Gemist-app) I could watch succesfully for 30 minutes. I then hit Stop and selected another programme from the same app. The atream froze within 5 minutes, not buffering/loading, it just froze. However, this time the tv still responded to the remote!
I was, however, unable to continue watching without turning the tv off and on again.

So the problems isn't entirely fixed yet, but it is nice not to have to unplug the power.
This is based on limited testing of course, so perhaps the tv will freeze in other cases.
