Hi,
yes, I tried to use it on my 2010 TV. I could load the main page, but was not able to select the two bottom menu items.
So it did not work.
But the reactions from bong.tv were pretty reactive. Since they had problems with Samsung, where they created an app, but Samsung did not release it officially, they want to go the HbbTV portal way.
Let's hope, they will look at the problems ...
PS: I someone want to load it, please add a "/" at the end of the URL. Else you will see an ugly layout since CSS-Style are not loaded correctly.

the service that is definately needed badly on net tv is maxdome!
video on demand is getting more and more important. the now available vod videociety has less bolckbuster movies than maxdome because most studios demand the silverlight player for security resons. maxdome provides that and has therfore a better offer on movies.
for myself it is a strong buying decision if maxdome is available or not.
i hope maxdome will be available soon on philips tv's.Last edited by Philips; 12-17-2011 at 12:45 PM. Reason: Text adapted: this is not an advertisement forum for other brands.

Hi to all.
I am owner of TV LCD 40 PFL6626H/12.
With Net Tv I have lot of apps but one application is strongly missed .
It is SKYPE.
Some Samsung and Lg model have Skype application and possibility to send text messages and with Samsung web camera there is option for video call.
I will appreciated to have text message option.
I hope that someone will have knowledge to build some Skype app.
All the best.

Net TV most wanted APPs
40PFL9705H 102 cm (40") Full HD 1080p. (based in Ireland)
I would like to see
RTE Player---> www.rte.ie/player/ (FLASH based)
4OD--->http://www.channel4.com/programmes/4od
3Player--->http://www.tv3.ie/player/ (FLASH based)
BBC iPlayer---> www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/
Netflix
and of course everyones favourite SKYPE!!!
Hi Philips, I am curious ..is it that difficult to deliver flash based Apps to the Net TV?

Hi,
Flash is not supported by the Philips TVs. Try the forum search...

Hey,
Apparently Maxdome (germany) works on the Philips TV (7606er series). So when will there be an app? Now I have to use the web browser and navigate to the site manually :-((

Hi,
regarding bong.tv, they told me, that they followed my suggestion to register as a developer at Philips NetTV and they hope to be able to offer an app soon.
So I would encourage everybody to contact the companys who have already web applications to get member of the NetTV developers and ask to provide a Philips NetTV app. In this case they were really friendly and responsive!
So maybe we will get some kind of online recorder for NetTV? Hopefully they make good progress...

This is exactly what bong.tv told mee too!
@Mark -Philips
would you be so kind and confirm that bong.tv got in contact with you? Juan told me to ask you, because you´re supposed to be the NET TV specialist :-)

@DerShortyy: Sounds promising!
Yes, "Philips - Mark", please give them good support! I think there is a real benefit and Samsung seems to be out of the game regarding bong.tv. So you might win a additional benefit against competitors!

Samsung blocked the bong.tv app, which was specifically created for their TV platform as a native app. That's why bong.tv wants to create a more standard HbbTV platform kind of app.
So Samsung is behind regarding bong.tv. It seems that their native app platform is not really open for all innovation. Philips won't be able to block an app. You can enter the URL and use it. This is a real benefit.
If bong.tv get their app working, already sold NetTVs from 2009 might be able to use recording as a NetTV service.
Not sure if you did not understood the posts above / if I missed to post all information in previous posts / if you just want to to do some Philips bashing?Last edited by Philips; 12-21-2011 at 06:59 AM.
