OK - Philips will not implement Netfix to expensive 58PFL9956/T12 smart TV. This is my 4:th Philips LCD TV in the house and will also be the last of this brand as Philips doesn't develop nor implement new requested features to smart TV:s. Philips TV:s stay with the properties they have when carrying out of shop - only major bug fixes seem to be coming every now and then.

All the other major brands like SONY, LG and SAMSUNG take care of their customer investments by developing their products (older as well) due to customer feedback so my next set will be from one of those manufacturers.
Over and out...

OK, I'll say it here too, since this is where Philips wants people to share their thoughts on which apps should be made available to their TVs.
NETFLIX!!!
I'm in Finland, and I've got a brand new 47PFL6877T.

I was looking at other threads on the forum, and I came across this:
http://www.supportforum.philips.com/...-now-available!
Does this mean we could tell Netflix to go there and create an app for the Philips TVs, since there is no word from Philips on whether or not they will make one?
I know I'm insistant with Netflix, but I'm not the only one wanting the app on my Philips TV...

I just bought a 47PFL6877T, and expected that Netflix would be there. I'm really surprised that it's not. The amount of apps were quite disappointing to be honest. I read somewhere online that you would not offer a Netflix app on 2012 TV-series and older, only to the new 2013. Is that really true?!
Kind of defeats the purpose of "Smart TV", wouldn't you agree?
If the "Smart TV" concept is only a small set of "proof-of-concept" apps, and there are no plans of either adding new apps nor updating the ones that exists. Why even bother with "Smart TV"?
I implore you to add some resources to you "Smart TV" people, and get an edge over your competitors by exploring this possibility further.
Offering a Netflix app would be a great place to start.
