MKV support - Remuxing support - Subtitle support -
Hi there,
I just bought the BDP7700 and it's great. I can play MKV files, whohoo!
One problem: Subtitles > these seem only to be displayed in one type of format: But the format is,
to big...&
not sharp
What can i do about this?
I tried to resize, changed the font, changed .srt to .ssa etc. But only displays in one format on my BDP7700.
Philips, Help!
When ik play a blue-ray i can do all sort of things with the subs, but it's not possible with MKV files, why?
Philips, update pls!

Well,
It was answered in one case: with internal subtitles. Second was about the behaviour of external subtitles with the BDP7700.
I just thought this information would be usefull to Philips so a future update could change some things the proper way.
Isn't the ''excellence'' reconized by the brand Philips?

Hi Oscar,
I have some additonal information about MKV subtitles on the BDP7700
As explained before, the internal subtitles in MKV files are no shown correctly. The displayed size is to big on the BDP7700.
Last weekend i went to my fathers place. He has a BDP7600. I brought some MKV movies with me to watch there. The funy thing was, the internal subtiltes are shown correctly on the BDP7600!
So that means there is something wrong with the subtitle software of the BDP7700...
Please take a look at this.
Looking foward to your reply,
Bram Jeunink

Hi Bram,
Yes you are right. Have jsut tested on my friends BDP7700 and after on my BDP8000. The subs are indeed bigger on the 7700 then on the 8000.
This could be solved I think
