No sound when connected to official Samsung Galaxy S3 HDTV MHL adaptor

Could anybody help please. I have connected the official Samsung Galaxy S3 HDTV MHL adaptor to my Philips 37PFL7605H/05 television via the HDMI socket and get great HD video but no sound. I have connected this to my 21” Samsung bedroom television HDMI socket & get both sound & vision. I think I have tried all combinations on the television menu but still no sound. Any ideas?

Welcome to the forums.

I would advise you update the software on your phone, this might helps. However we cannot guarantee that it will work even with an official adaptor.
