Some 3D BD's don't play correctly (BDP5200/12)
Hi,
I have the BDP5200/12 3D Blu-ray player, but I have quite some BD's which don't play correct. It's like the left and the right frames aren't in sync. I tried some of the BD's on a Panasonic 3D player with the same TV and it plays like a charm. So the problem is in the BDP5200/12. Or maybe a setting? Although, allot of my BD's do play correct.
Some examples:
Incorrect:
- Prometheus (EAN 5-039036-054478)
- Gulliver's Travels (EAN 8-712626-054030)
- Drive Angry (EAN 5-060223-764801)
- The Green Hornet (EAN 4-030521-724938)
Correct:
- Titanic (EAN 4-010232-057686)
- The Avengers (EAN 8-717418-365677)
- Pirates of the Caribbean (EAN 8-717418-324452)
What to do? Is this something I can fix by settings of my player? I have more BD's which don't play right.

Hi Ralfers, are you using latest firmware on your device already? Cannot see this back If so then the discs mentioned might to tested which does not go so fast. Interesting to know if others have these issues also...
Make first sure though that firmware is on latest version

Hiya
I am having the exact same problem with the same discs - Prometheus and Drive Angry. They play as if the left/right is out of sync yet play fine on my Panasonic and LG. I have tested Journey to the Centre of the Earth 3D, Titanic 3D and Transformers Dark of the Moon 3D and there are no problems. I am running the latest firmware.
Any ideas?

If you both have the same issue then indeed might be something related to the movies which needs to be checked by Philips. Please check this thread on the way of working...

I have a bdp5200/79 and am experiencing the same left right sync issues. Latest update installed. The above link appears to have a huge amount of problems unsolved. Think I may have to get a new Bluray player.

Same problem with my BDP5200/12. Seems Philips is not able to solve this issue. Philips moderation team working on it for 2 months?? Wish I would have bought a different player.

It is getting a bit ridiculous how long it is taking to solve this issue. Going to return the player I think and get a Sony!

Got latest firmware.
Ghost Rider: Spirit of vengeance

Cant play 3D
Selects 3D but it plays only 2D.
Turn it off, changes cables, but still plays only 2D after I turn it on again.
