How to "scroll" through a zoomed EPG-Page?
Does anyone know how to "scroll" through a zoomed EPG-Page in my 40pfl7605?
@Philips: It may be much better if there will be a possibility to change the font size instead of zooming the hole page.
By the way, every german content page of the ip-epg contains the little word "met:". I suppose ist the dutch translation of "with:". The germay "mit:" is displayed additional to the dutch "met:".

Hi,
I already noted this bug/problem in the feedback thread of the 140.25 firmware for the 9000 series. Also on the support hotline. But no reaction on this topic (like much other problems)... Please Philips, do a reformating with larger fonts instead of zooming. Reformating should be easy in IP-EPG. Also an IP-EPG in fullscreen would be nice on my 21:9 - not only 16:9...

Hi,
we agree that it will be the best solution to reformat the pgaes with larger fonts. Hopefully this will be done soon.
But today there is the possibility to "zoom" the pages but up to now i've not fond how to switch / scroll when the zoom is higher than 100. Which buttons should I use on my remote control. A description in the user-manual will be very helpfull but isn't there.
regards bta

Hi,
you can only jump from link to link via the cursors... but if you achieve to move to the bottom left, sometimes it is not possible to go back... Also no sentence is readable...
@Philips
Please make a test by yourself. Go to the IP-EPG, choose an entry with a longer text description. Zoom to 120 or 140 % and try to move "around"...
And then, describe if that is "usability" and "smiplicity"...

Hi,
i posted some pictures of this IP-EPG zoom disaster in my blog. However, the blog is in german, but you can see the images: http://58pfl9955.wordpress.com/2011/...zoom-desaster/
Toengel@Alex
Zoom 120 %:

Cursor down:

Cursor right:

The content of the whole IP-EPG is not readable in zoom mode! Some text is ALWAYS missing. That is a disaster! The zoom function is consequently unusable! Just resize the font!Last edited by Toengel; 01-15-2011 at 01:11 PM.

Hi,
I researched a litte bit more. This problem occurs in EACH Net TV application!
Take the Philips Tutorials APP!
Zoom to 120 %!
Try to move around!
It's a complete FAILURE!
So - with this Philips tutorial APP, Philips is the only responsible for the ZOOM disaster!
Please offer a usable solution!

Good to hear that there is a bug report open. When I contacted the german support, they said, that this zoom thing, even on the Philips Tutorial site, can't be solved better. They said that this is a TV and so one can't expect to have a good usability of the zoom. So I made several suggestions to solve it on a better way. They were not sure if there will be any update in future for this desaster.
I know, that there was no update announced, but a bug report is open. So there people aware of this.
I think, things like this are the points which make an iPhone as popular as it is. Things were fully thought to the end from a customer perspective. Not only implementing things for the feature list, creating working features, which are also good from usability perspective.
For that zoom thing are many ways to implement a better solution. Keeping it like it is, makes the zoom unusable. And the fonts are really small sometimes.
The menu design, having clear large symbols and not just a simple list of written items, made me belive to buy a product which was designed for usability. Yes, it is for most items, but definitely not for the zoom.

Is there an update on the bug report? Will there be a fix in future firmware releases?

I created a video, showing the zoom behaviour. Maybe this helps also.
