I need the software for my PC to add mp3s to my GoGear Vibe 4GB

I bought a GoGear Vibe 4GB a number of years ago when I had an older PC. I no longer have that PC nor the software to manage the files on this MP3.

I'm trying to find the software to download to my new PC( Windows 8.1) so I can transfer files to my MP3 player.

I don't know for sure if this is the right forum because my exact model number of the MP3 has very small print and I can't read it.

Can someone help me find the right software to download to my PC so I can add files to my GoGear Vibe 4GB?

    Hello keithaul,

    Thank you for your post.

Products with serial number starting with MTxx13 and SFxx13 support Device Manager and Media Converter and that with other serial numbers support Philips Songbird.

    Kind regards,

I was able to take a picture of the serial number and model number and then i zoomed in to see what it was.

Ok. So where can I download the Philips Songbird software to my PC? I can't seem to find a link for it.

    Thank You
    Keith

I've tried to download the file for philips songbird twice and both times when I try to install it, it says the file is corrupted.

Is there a zip file with the application I can download?

    Hello keithaul,

There is no software available at the moment.
Please just connect Gogear to the computer by USB and use it like a USB storage device.

    Kind regards,

RE: Cant transfer files to MP3 player using Windows 8.1

I've tried to do this and I'm unable to transfer any files to the device. I'm able to view the files on the MP3 player but when I try to copy/paste, cut/paste or drag and drop a file to the 'playlist' folder it doesn't all me to put the file in one of the pla files. I have a playlist folder that contains 'pla' files. the pla files are comprised of common mp3 files. For example I have a pla file named boston. Boston is a musical group and within this pla file are all songs recorded by Boston. If I wanted to add a new song to the Boston 'PLA' file under the playlist folder it doesn't allow me to put the file there.

How can I transfer files/mp3s to this MP3 player using the windows navigation system?

    Hello Keith!

I just need to clarify what the issue you are facing is here. From what I understand, you have been able to transfer files to your mp3 player but you can’t make playlists. How have you transferred files to your device so far?

You mentioned you found your model number your device has in a previous post. Can you please share it with me?

Looking forward to hearing from you!

    Regards,
    Philips - Katerina

The model # and serial # for my Philips GoGear Vibe is:

    Model: SA3VBE04K/37
    Ser #:

Here is a link to a video I recorded with the issue I'm having:

    Hello Keith!

For starters I would not only like to thank you, but congratulate you as well for the informative video you posted!

As you have been advised you can use your device as a usb storage by dragging and dropping files to it. After connecting your device to your computer, find it and open it up as you would with any usb stick you would connect. Select the files from your computer that you want to transfer to your device and drag and drop them or copy paste them to the file of your choice on your device. Letís say something like:

Device - Music - AC/DC Ė Highway to Hell (Of course the AC/DC folder you have to make yourself on your device)

Now for the playlists, these you can make with the so called playlists on the go! This means that you can make them on your device rather than with your computer. In your device, select or play a song, in the list of songs or the play screen press the button with the three lines and select add to playlist, Select a playlist on the go and save the song to the playlist.

Hope this has been helpful and as informative as your video, I wish I could make you one as well. Please do let me know how it went and feel free to come back here if you have any further questions.

    Regards,
    Philips - Katerina
