If your device has below Software version and similar serial number:
- System Software Version 1.73 or below
- Serial Number GS1Axxxxxxxxxx or VB1Axxxxxxxxxx

System Software Version 1.73

• Improve performance of Wi-Fi installation.
• Compliance with new regulation from AACS (Advanced Access Content System) by implementing the Cinavia watermark content protection solution from Verance. With this Cinavia watermark implementation, the player will not be able to play unauthorized copied disc. For details on Cinavia protection technology, visit Cinavia Online Consumer Information Center (http://www.cinavia.com).

The former firmware upgrade includes the following chnages

• Correct RC output on digits ‘0’ and ‘1’ when typing in online services. (V1.72)
• Enable Picasa online service.(V1.72)
• Enable the YouTube feature and enhance the playability. (V1.66)
• Initial Release. (V1.63)

What's the difference between V1.73 and 1.75. I don't see anything mentioned?

And how about the player's inability to show subtitles files in proper synch?

Would you (or anybody else) happen to know what exactly is updated in Cinavia?

I am having trouble getting the update to work. Tried over 10 times, following the guide down to the slightest detail every time. However, my player's software keeps being version 1.73. Anyone with similar trouble?

I am using a USB flash drive and the official software from this site. (And everything works like it should, except it keeps saying "System SW: 1.73".)

please check your BDP serial number and compare it with the first post! Not all BDP3200 devices have the same firmware versio.

I have the first one, "GS1Axxxxxxxxx" - Does that mean that even if it displays 1.73 @ software version, it can still be up to date? Sorry I find it a bit confusing. Thanks for your help though.
