40pfl660d hear another device at tv standby
Hi,
i Have a 40pfl6606d/78 tv with a ps3 connect to the HDMI 1 input. I want to use the ps3 as a player and listen to it while the
tv display is off.
Easylink is working, i can control the ps3 with the tv remote control.
The thing is: i looked in the help menu and found a feature that i'm really interest. It says "hear another device at tv standby", but i do the said steps at the help menu and can't make it work, the option isn't showing.
here is what it says "press adjust to receive audio from the connected philips easylink device"
"if available, audio only mode is enabled".
i tried calling philips support and they couldn't help, in the end they said that it only works with philips devices attached to the tv. i thought that it is a shame if that's true.
anyone was able to make it work on their tv?
thanks for the answers.Last edited by Atreta; 11-07-2012 at 10:14 PM. Reason: model was wrongly informed

I managed to make it working, but it's not as it says in the help menu.
i had to disable easylink on the tv and instead of pressing "Adjust", i had to press the green button and choose Screen Off. maybe in the next firmware philips will fix this in the next firmware revision.
Although easylink is off now the feature i wanted is working
really nice one for those who want to use the tv as a stereo substitute.
