Use Philips TV while USB recording is in Progress(other recording or other HDMI src)

Hello,

We own a 50PFL7956, and was curious if it is possble to do something with the Philips TV while it is recording a program on the USB harddisk. It looks like the TV becomes useless. Two options 1 would love to be able:

1: Watch an allready recorded program show on the USB harddisk (perhaps this is a hardware limitation)
2: Select an HDMI source (I have a media player) so I can watch something else.

Looks like both options are blocked when the Philips is recording, is there a solution or unknow feature I missed ?

this was already asked in the past. The answer is/was that the hardware isn't powerful enough to do both at the same time...

i don't think so ... i think it's only a software problem... and Philips don't want work a lot on this tv's firmware .... it's my opinion ....
