I would love to watch YouTube in HD quality on my TV. Can I change settings in the TV or ....?

Thumbs up DailyMotion is in HD

I have the same experience. I think it is not related to Net TV. When you look in the DailyMotion service on Net TV, there are HD movies/clips available, showing in excellent quality. It is even better than the regular TV broadcasts (I only have analog cable). When I was watching movies in HD, the playback frequently stopped and mentioned buffering. My TV was connected wireless, the WiFi signal was rather weak because our wireless router is mounted in the hall. I connected my TV wired and now this does not occur anymore, so, to watch HD content you need a fast connection to play without interrupts. I hope that Philips Net TV will improves YouTube to play all HD content in HD.
I also stream video to my TV. For this I use the TVersity program. (http://tversity.com/) This works good, HD as well!
I am so happy that I have chosen for a TV with internet connectivity, I would not want to miss out on all these new possibilities.

Yes right, I woud like to have the option of qualty in Net TV also, as in normal Youtube.
Also may other videos in ordinary Homepages ca not be played. Also flashplayer updates etc. can not be made.
I am awere, thst the OPERA browser is limeted, but sindce we have a HD TV everybody is intended to see videos and sound an all homepages.
The Internet browser is anyway much to slow and boring.
Absolotely necessary is a keyboard an mouse to operate.
This is an firs step from PHILIPS in the right direction, but everybody operation a pc expect the same comfort and speed as of an normal pc or notebook.
The only solution I see is to have a notebook beside and connect via HDMI with the really super HD TV!
Enerything else starts to bore after a wile and I will not use NET Tv anymore.
Also many SW bugs causing the system to stop, the you must start from scrach to build connection again to the internet.
This connecton anyway works sometimes well, sometimes I have to diconnect the Ethernet Cable and connect it back and KLICK the connection ist here!!!!
    Updates are necessary.....

    Hi!

I fully agree with the previous posts:
-YouTube application MUST HAVE quality settings to allow HD playback.

For now I am disappointed that having: PHILIPS NetTV FULL HD television I am not able to watch HD videos that I am watching currently on my laptop.

I hope that someone from Philips is working currently on that issue. I would be glad to hear feedback from Philips what are the software update release dates for this obvious feature.

    Best regards

Totally agree with you: 720p or 1080p video format cannot be chosen, only the entry format one.

Unacceptable! Philips, are you there? :-(

    regards

JohnnyQ you are using Tversity for streaming video to your TV.
Did you hookupped the PC via a HDMI cable to the TV?
I have tried to use it by CAT 6 cable after attempts with wireless. It function only for "HD - NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory" a standard content of TVersity.
Sequentially I added some other sides but none of them function.

If any expert has the ambition: Please record the installation and configuration of the proper setup in Youtube and you will become famous.

I try to guess the Philips' answer style: "Dear customer, we're regretfully informing you that the HD you Tube videos will be available ONLY for the 2011 TV models".

(the same was declared for the wireless keyboard connected to the TV for NET TV)
Philips, areyou able to deny this?
